For 19 years, we've been on a mission to make finding quality housing in Montreal easier and more accessible for everyone. What started as a simple idea has grown into a thriving community of over 50 verified hosts and 100+ properties across this beautiful city.
We noticed that students, medical professionals, and families dealing with home insurance claims often struggled to find affordable, convenient housing. Traditional rental platforms didn't understand their unique needs—flexible lease terms for students near universities, proximity to hospitals for medical professionals, and temporary housing for families whose homes are being repaired due to insurance claims (fire, water damage, etc.).
That's why we built Homesbyli. We created specialized categories for students near Concordia, McGill, and UdeM; for medical professionals near major hospitals; and for families needing temporary housing while their homes are being repaired through insurance claims. We introduced features like room-by-room booking to make shared housing more affordable, and host date blocking to give property owners more control.
Most recently, we launched our AI-powered help center to provide instant answers to your questions, 24/7. We're constantly listening to feedback from our community and building features that matter to you.
But technology is only part of our story. What truly drives us is the community we've built—the students who found their home away from home, the traveling doctors who felt welcomed, the families who trusted us with their properties, and the countless connections made along the way.
